Discussion
The extreme heat is gone and the next few days will be much closer to normal temperature-wise, but then it’ll turn hotter and more humid again late this week. Triple-digit temperatures last Friday (103) and Saturday (101) broke the daily records, but it wasn’t too long ago when we had back-to-back triple digit highs as that happened on July 6th (102) and 7th (103) of last year. Temperatures today should hold in the mid-to-upper 80’s as a cool front slowly works its way through the region generating quite a few clouds with it. While the temperatures will be down today, the humidity will still remain quite high and late afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop with the frontal system. Some of the storms that form later today can contain heavy rains and strong, gusty winds. Humidity will lower tomorrow and should be low-to-moderate on Wednesday as well.
