3:45 PM | Another record-breaking day and an update on the nighttime storm threat
Paul Dorian
Another day for the record books...temperatures have already broken records today at Reagan National Airport with a high of 102 degrees and at Dulles Airport with a high of 99 degrees. BWI Airport has also reached 99 degrees so far today. Meanwhile, strong thunderstorms have formed in upstate Pennsylvania and a few of these storms will make their way into northern Maryland and northern Virginia late this evening. However, the best chance for severe weather will likely stay north of the PA/MD border. Nonetheless, a scattered shower or thunderstorm is possible tonight in the DC metro region between about 9PM and 3AM. Drier air moves in tomorrow and the weekend will generally be pretty decent to close out the month of July.
