Powerful thunderstorms are charging towards the Delaware Valley and will pound many parts of the region between 4:45 and 8PM. Heavy rain and strong, gusty winds are likely to first hit northern Chester County and northern Montgomery County over the next hour or so and then the rest of the region can get slammed before about 8PM. The threat for strong storms will slowly wind down overnight and tomorrow promises to bring the return of sunshine and calmer conditions.
