Discussion
One frontal system came through the region late yesterday setting off some strong storms and another front will slide through later today, but the second front is likely to come through with only isolated showers. Today will be rather warm ahead of the second front, but a stiff breeze will signal the transition to a new air mass. In fact, much more comfortable air will arrive overnight paving the way for nice weather on Thursday and Friday featuring sunshine, pleasant temperatures and low humidity. The weekend should start off OK, but then a low pressure system and associated frontal boundary will approach from the west and it will threaten us with a showers and thunderstorms Saturday night and Sunday. Once that system passes to our east by later Monday, another comfortable air mass will move into the Mid-Atlantic to start the new week anchored by strong high pressure.
