Discussion

A band of deep moisture exists between here and the Deep South and periods of rain will be the result right into Thursday. This new significant rainfall will generate more flooding issues given the very saturated grounds. Much cooler conditions are in the offing for today as last night’s cold frontal passage has ushered in much cooler air. That front has stalled to our south and will help to enhance the rainfall around here over the next few days. Slow improvement is likely at the end of the week as the center of Hurricane Katia slides by to our east off the east coast and high pressure builds back into the region.
