Discussion
We will gradually lose protection from our large Canadian high pressure systems as it slides off the Northeast coast early this week. Milder and more humid air will flow into the area on the back side of the high and a frontal system will approach from the west on Tuesday. A second front will move east by Thursday and give us a threat for showers and thunderstorms during the latter part of the week as low pressure develops along the front. Elsewhere, the tropics remain rather quiet, but more activity is likely during the next few weeks.
