Discussion
Showers this morning will began an unsettled period of weather for us in the District region as a frontal system moves in from the west and stalls along the east coast. After another day with slightly below normal temperatures on Tuesday, highs will approach more seasonal values on Wednesday and Thursday reaching near 80 degrees on both days. By later in the week, the showers and thunderstorms could come down hard at times as low pressure will likely develop along the stalled out frontal system and ride along it from south-to-north. The upper air pattern is setting us in such a manner by later in the week to allow for the possibility that this unsettled weather sticks around this weekend as well.
