Discussion
Our pleasant weather pattern of the past few days has evolved into an unsettled weather pattern that could last right through the upcoming the weekend. High pressure has moved off the east coast and the flow behind it over the next few days will bring in milder and more humid air for the Mid-Atlantic. In addition to the increased moisture, there will be a frontal system in the mix that moves in from the west and then stalls near the east coast. This combination will lead to the unsettled pattern and the shower and thunderstorm pattern that develops may get enhanced late in the week as low pressure rides up along the stalled out frontal system. This could cause more numerous showers and storms later Thursday and Friday and it is possible that some of that rain can fall heavily at times.
