Discussion
The upper air pattern is quite energetic just to our west and the next storm system that affects us over the next 24-36 hours could generate some strong thunderstorm activity that will have to be closely monitored. More showers are likely today and thunderstorms are also possible, but they are even more likely tonight and tomorrow and some of the thunderstorms that form could get quite strong. Once the associated cold front sweeps through the region on Friday, it’ll set the stage for a cool and dry weekend and that same cool, dry weather will last into the early part of next week. Winds will gust past 30 mph on Saturday, but will then calm down for Sunday.
