Discussion
A storm that has dumped a ton of rain on the Florida Keys has moved northward through the Florida Peninsula and is now taking a run up the east coast. Occasional rain will fall today throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with the possibility of thunderstorms mixing in during the afternoon hours. Some of the rain can be heavy; especially, in the vicinity of any thunderstorms that form later today. The rain threat will diminish this evening and then partial sunshine will return tomorrow, but winds will be quite gusty. Mainly sunny skies can be expected from Friday through Monday as high pressure builds back into the region.
