Discussion
A slow moving cold front will gradually move through the Mid-Atlantic region later this week and two separate low pressure systems may ride along this boundary zone. The first low will likely produce some rain here Wednesday night and on Thursday and that low will usher in colder air for Friday and Saturday. Another low may then move towards the Mid-Atlantic coast on Saturday and this system will encounter enough cold air to raise the prospects for snow in parts of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. This potential interesting setup will have to be monitored closely over the next couple of days. Elsewhere, Hurricane Rina has formed over the Caribbean and it will head to the Yucatan region of Mexico over the next couple of days.
