High pressure will give way to clouds this morning in advance of a low pressure system that has formed along a frontal zone that separates much cooler air to the north and milder air to its south. The low will spread a few showers our way from mid-day today into early tonight, but then a steadier rain will develop late tonight and continue tomorrow. During the day tomorrow, colder air will be dropping into the Mid-Atlantic region and the rain could actually change to snow before ending from around State College to the Poconos. This low then clears out of here by Friday, but we’ll then have to watch for the possibility of a coastal storm that could possibly affect the region on Saturday with a cold rain and, in some cases, wet snow for the first time this season.
