Discussion
It'll be quite mild to start the week and quite chilly to end the week and it'll rain in between. In fact, a significant rain event is in store for the region Tuesday night and Wednesday. Low pressure will develop along a frontal system that will move into the Mid-Atlantic today, but for now the front will generate nothing more than a shower or two. By late Tuesday, however, low pressure will develop along the front and it will spread rain our way Tuesday night and Wednesday and some of that rain can be heavy at times. Following that storm, much colder air returns for Thursday and Friday and temperatures will struggle to reach 50 degrees on both of those days. Then, similar to this past weekend, a warming trend will kick in by the weekend and continue into early next week.
