Discussion
It'll be mild today and tomorrow and cold on Thursday and Friday and it'll rain in between. In fact, a significant rain event is in store for the region for late Tuesday night and Wednesday. Low pressure will develop along a frontal system that will move into the Mid-Atlantic today, but for now the front will generate nothing more than a shower or two into tomorrow night. At that time, however, low pressure will develop along the front and it will spread rain our way later Tuesday night and Wednesday and some of that rain can be heavy at times. Following that storm, much colder air returns for Thursday and Friday and afternoon temperatures will likely hold in the 40’s both of those days. Then, similar to this past weekend, a warming trend will kick in by the weekend and continue into early next week.
