Discussion
Cold air moved into the region on Thursday, but it will retreat during the weekend as high pressure moves off the east coast and a SW flow of air develops on its backside. Temperatures today should be confined to the 40’s despite lots of sunshine, but then they should climb to the low 50’s on Saturday and come close to 60 degrees by Sunday afternoon. Elsewhere, heavy snow will accumulate over the next two days from the Pacific Northwest and the northern Rockies to the Northern Plains as the first widespread snowstorm of the season affects that part of the country.
