Discussion

A strong cold front passed through the region last night and will change our overall temperature pattern from well above normal to near normal for the next several days. High temperatures will be closer to 50 degrees through Friday as compared to the balmy 60’s of recent days and it could even get a little cooler to start the weekend as another cold front comes through, but that one should not be accompanied by any rainfall. Yet another front will approach the region early next week bringing with it the threat of showers will and that front will usher in colder air for the middle part of next week. Elsewhere, a severe "Santa Ana" wind event is likely later tonight and tomorrow across Southern California with 70 mph winds possible in low-lying areas and up to 90 mph wind gusts on mountain tops.
