Discussion
The powerful storm that dumped a lot of rain on us yesterday and last night has raced to the northeast and is now near the coast of Maine. More than two inches of rain fell across a wide zone from DC to New York City with more than three inches recorded in some spots including at Reagan National Airport. In fact, the 3.10 inches recorded at Reagan National Airport was the most ever from a single storm during the winter months of December through February. The next several days look to be dry and chilly with below normal temperatures likely this weekend. High pressure will gradually build into the East from the middle of the country by the weekend and it will control the weather through the early part of next week.
