Discussion

Our rain event will wind down later this morning and temperatures this afternoon will once again reach unseasonably mild levels in the 50’s. An energetic Arctic cold front, however, will bring a quick end to the mild conditions tomorrow and that frontal passage may be somewhat dramatic with rain showers changing to snow showers along with strong wind gusts and a quick drop in temperatures. Once the front clears the coast, winds will gust to 40 mph during the late afternoon and temperatures will hold in the 30’s. This change to cold weather will last right through the upcoming weekend and it could get very cold by Sunday night/Monday morning with temperatures potentially dropping to the single digits. It'll get briefly slightly milder on Tuesday before another strong cold front whips through by mid-week and we'll stay cold for the second half of the week.
