Discussion

Our significant rain event has ended and temperatures this afternoon will once again reach unseasonably mild levels well up in the 50’s. An energetic Arctic cold front, however, will bring a quick end to the mild conditions early tomorrow and that frontal passage will be accompanied by strong wind gusts, a quick drop in temperatures and possible snow showers. Once the front clears the coast, winds will gust to 40 mph during the afternoon and temperatures will be hard-pressed to escape the 30’s. This change to cold weather will last right through the upcoming weekend and Sunday night/Monday morning should feature temperatures way down in the 10-15 degree range. It'll get briefly slightly milder on Tuesday before another strong cold front whips through by mid-week and we'll stay cold for the second half of the week.
