Discussion
High pressure has returned to the Mid-Atlantic region and will control our weather into the weekend. The blizzard that is raging in the middle of the country will try to head to the East over the next few days, but it will have a hard time coming this far north due to a blocking pattern in the upper atmosphere. We’ll continue to monitor it as it still cannot be completely written off yet for Sunday and it should be cold enough for snow around here. Colder air is likely to move into the Mid-Atlantic by mid-week with temperatures holding primarily in the 30’s on Wednesday.
