Discussion

The complicated combination of an Arctic front, strong upper level disturbance, an influx of Gulf moisture and a developing storm just off the east coast will bring us precipitation tonight that will likely begin as rain and then changeover to snow towards morning. Strong winds will develop tomorrow afternoon as temperatures likely drop and additional snow showers are possible. Temperatures should, in fact, plunge to 20 degrees or slightly below tomorrow night and highs on Sunday are likely to hold at or below 35 degrees. Accumulations of snow should be on the order of an inch or so from this system, but if the storm develops a slight bit quicker or a little closer to the coast then these estimates may still have to be raised somewhat. Another threat for snow or rain will come on Tuesday as the overall pattern stays quite active.
