Discussion

The coldest core of the Arctic air mass that blasted into the region this weekend will move over the western Atlantic today and temperatures will moderate to start the new work week. A weak system will pull out of the south central states tomorrow and into the southeastern states and this could throw some snow or rain showers our way during the afternoon and again at night. Some clearing will take place behind the system on Wednesday with slightly milder conditions expected. Another system could heads towards the Mid-Atlantic by Thursday night likely bringing some rain our way with colder air to follow to close out the week.
