Discussion

Winds will pick up today and clouds will tend to increase late as a weak frontal system closes in from the west. Milder air will funnel in for the second half of the week riding in on a southwesterly flow of air and temperatures could pass 60 degrees on Thursday although morning showers are likely. More showers are likely on Friday as a strong cold front approaches and it’s conceivable that a thunderstorm develops in the mild air ahead of the front. Quite a powerful storm will develop to our north along the front by Friday night and Saturday and this will enhance our winds dramatically for the weekend in a much cooler air mass that will follow the frontal passage.
