Discussion

Rain has begun and it will continue heavy at times right through the evening and a thunderstorm or two can mix in. Elsewhere today, heavy snow will fall all the way across the northern tier of the country from the Dakotas to the southern New England coast and there can be severe weather including tornadoes in the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys. Partial sunshine will return tomorrow and it’ll become much milder with highs in the 60's. High pressure continues to control our weather on Friday, but then a strong front approaches by Saturday, and this front will be quite active with some rain, gusty winds and possible thunderstorm activity during Friday night and Saturday. Colder air moves in for the early part of next week following a secondary cold frontal passage on Sunday.
