1:30 PM | Wintry mix possible at the onset tomorrow, but mainly rain in immediate NYC metro region

Discussion
The bulk of the precipitation tomorrow should be in the form of rain, but there can be some sleet and/or snow mixed in at the onset of the event in the immediate NYC metro region. The precipitation should arrive here between about 9 am and noon and the best chance for the mix will be in the first couple of hours. Small accumulations of snow and/or ice are possible here during those first couple of hours, but the afternoon hours should be dominated by "plain" rain. Elsewhere, several inches of snow can accumulate tomorrow across interior sections of Connecticut and in parts of the Lower Hudson Valley, and to points north and east. Our next rain threat here will come Friday night and Saturday when a strong front approaches the region possibly accompanied by gusty winds and strong thunderstorms.
