1:30 PM | Possible mix at the onset tomorrow, but predominately rain

Discussion
The bulk of the precipitation tomorrow should be in the form of rain, but there can be some sleet and/or snow mixed in at the onset of the event in the northern and western suburbs. The precipitation should arrive between about 9 am and noon and the best chance for the mix will be in the first hour or two. Rain should be the predominate type of precipitation during the mid-day and afternoon hours and the rain can come down hard at times with 0.75 to 1.00 inches of total rainfall possible by later tomorrow night. Across the Lehigh Valley, the wintry mix will hang on a little longer and slippery spots can develop, and a few inches of snow can accumulate in the Poconos before a changeover occurs up there. Our next rain threat here will come Friday night and Saturday when a strong front approaches the region possibly accompanied by gusty winds and strong thunderstorms.
