Discussion
A “backdoor” cold front slipped through the region early yesterday, moving in from the northeast, and the resultant ocean air continues to dominate the weather scene here this morning. As a result, there will be low clouds, fog and drizzle right through the morning hours and then there is the chance for an afternoon shower or thunderstorm as another weak front approaches the area from the west. This marine layer will slowly retreat this weekend and we'll have milder conditions developing with some sunshine expected on both weekend days. Temperatures early next week will return to the mid-to-upper 60's and it looks like that warm weather will stick around for much of the week. Elsewhere, the main weather action in the early-to-middle part of next week will be across the central US where heavy rain and severe weather can occur.
