Discussion

High pressure off the east coast will supply warm air for the region through the week, but there is the chance for a shower or thunderstorm today and tonight although most of the time will be rain-free. Tomorrow will feature warm conditions again, but more clouds than sun are likely thanks to lots of low-level moisture. The warmest conditions of the week are likely to occur during the second half when temperatures could come close to the 80 degree mark. Elsewhere, very heavy rain and severe weather will occur over the next couple of days in the heartland from Minnesota to Texas. Some areas will receive up to ten inches of rain in the south-central states between now and Wednesday.
