Discussion

High pressure off the east coast will supply warm air for the region through the week, but there is still another factor that will play a role in today’s weather. There is enough low-level moisture around from the recent humid ocean flow of air for early morning low clouds and fog in spots, but that will give way to sunshine by the latter part of the morning. The fog could redevelop late tonight after a possible evening shower or thunderstorm and it'll stay quite mild. The warmest conditions of the week are likely to during the second half when temperatures could reach or even surpass 75 degrees. Elsewhere, very heavy rain and severe weather will occur over the next couple of days in the heartland from Minnesota to Texas. Some areas will receive up to ten inches of rain in the south-central states between now and Wednesday.
