An ocean flow of air has produced an abundance of low-level moisture in our area and the result is morning low clouds and fog. The ocean flow will relax somewhat tomorrow afternoon after another round of early morning fog and temperatures by Thursday afternoon should move well up into the 70’s. A cooling trend is likely to take place from late this week through the weekend and showers are a threat during the weekend. Elsewhere, heavy rain and severe weather continues to be a major problem in the south-central US with systems moving very slowly from west-to-east adding to the excessive rainfall amounts. More than six inches of rain can fall over the next couple of days in places like Louisiana and Arkansas and tornadoes will threaten the area from Houston to Little Rock.
