Discussion

Early morning clouds and fog will give way to partial sunshine and temperatures should once again soar into the 70’s. Tomorrow will be another warm day with temperatures again reaching the 70 degree mark, but temperatures may drop during the aftternoon as winds shift to the NE behind another "backdoor" cold frontal passage. The cooling trend will continue this weekend and we'll finally get some decent rainfall as the weekend progresses. Showers should break out on Saturday, and temperatures will continue the trend downward with highs on Saturday in the upper 50's as compared with todays 70’s. Even cooler weather is likely on Sunday and more showers are likely to close out the weekend before it dries out again early next week. One final note - NASA postponed last night's scheduled rocket launches at Wallops Island, VA until late tonight due to low clouds and fog along the coast.
