Discussion
High pressure will slip off the east coast today and from this position our low-level winds will shift to a southwesterly direction and temperatures should respond by climbing well up into the 60’s. A cold front will approach from the northwest later today and this will increase our chances for afternoon and evening showers along with the threat of a gusty thunderstorm. It’ll turn cooler behind the front on Thursday with gusty winds, and the dry, cooler weather will continue for much of Friday as well, but showers are likely to return for Friday night and Saturday morning.
