Discussion

High pressure will slip off the east coast today and from this position our low-level winds will shift to a southwesterly direction and temperatures should respond by climbing into the 70’s. A cold front will approach from the northwest later today and this will increase our chances for afternoon and evening showers along with the threat of a strong thunderstorm. It’ll turn cooler behind the front on Thursday with gusty winds, and the dry, cooler weather will then continue for much of Friday as well to close out the work week.
