Discussion

High pressure will slip off the east coast today and from this position our low-level winds will shift to a southwesterly direction and temperatures should respond by climbing well up into the 60’s. A cold front will approach from the northwest later today and this will increase our chances for afternoon and evening showers along with the threat of a strong thunderstorm. It’ll turn cooler behind the front on Thursday with gusty winds, and the dry, cooler weather will continue into Friday as well, but showers may return late Friday night and Saturday morning.
