Discussion

Let the games begin! Opening Day forecast for the Mets at Citi Field: mostly sunny, breezy and chilly with game time (1:10pm) temperatures around 56 degrees (Yankees open indoors tomorrow afternoon (3:10pm) against the Tampa Bay Rays. Widespread Canadian high pressure to our north will dominate the weather scene around here from today through the upcoming weekend. The air mass associated with this high is rather chilly and that will be quite noticeable during the nighttime hours, but daytime sunshine will push afternoon temperatures to 60 degrees during the weekend. There are indications that it’ll turn even colder by Tuesday of next week and that cold spell may last a few days as a deep trough develops in the eastern US.
