Discussion
A good start for Mid-Atlantic baseball yesterday as the Phillies, Nationals and Mets won their openers - all by just one run. The Orioles and Yankees open up their 2012 seasons later today. As far as the upcoming weather is concerned, large and strong high pressure will dominate the weather picture around here right through the weekend with mostly sunny days and clear, cold nights. Frost is possible late tonight as well as late tomorrow night as temperatures drop to near freezing in the northern and western suburbs. Sunshine will boost afternoon temperatures to near 60 degrees each weekend day, but it could turn cooler again next week as the overall weather pattern changes somewhat to allow for the development of a trough in the eastern US.
