Discussion
A good start for Mid-Atlantic baseball yesterday as the Nationals, Phillies and Mets won their openers - all by one run. The Orioles and Yankees open up their seasons later today. As far as the upcoming weather is concerned, large and strong high pressure will dominate the weather picture around here right through the weekend with mostly sunny days and clear, cold nights. Frost is possible late tonight as temperatures drop to near freezing in the northern and western suburbs of the District. Sunshine will boost afternoon temperatures past 60 degrees each weekend day, but it could turn cooler next week as the overall weather pattern changes somewhat to allow for the development of a trough in the eastern US.
