Discussion
The stubborn low pressure system that has been stationed to our north for the last few days will finally begin its exit today from the Mid-Atlantic region. This will allow for the buildup of high pressure along the east coast by tomorrow and that in turn will set the stage for a dramatic weekend warm up. Temperatures will remain chilly today, but will then climb to rather pleasant levels on Friday afternoon before surging during the weekend. That surge can actually bring temperatures to 70 degrees by Sunday afternoon and then well up into the 70's on Monday.
