Discussion

Another step down in the temperature department today as clouds will hold highs to the low-to-mid 60’s following the 70’s of yesterday and 80’s on Monday. A weak disturbance will likely produce showers here later today into early tonight, but the heaviest rain will stay to our south. High pressure will build into the region for Thursday and Friday and they should turn out to be rather pleasant days with highs near 70 degrees on Thursday and in the 70's on Friday. The weekend will feature a significant storm in the Southeast US that will likely ride up the east coast by Sunday night and Monday giving us our first shot at important rain in several weeks. That storm will usher in much cooler air by early next week and the showers can continue on Monday as it slowly heads through the northeastern part of the country.
