Discussion
A cold front passed through the region overnight and today will feature cool, dry and windy conditions with gusts up to 30 mph or so. There will be plenty of sunshine to close out the work week, but temperatures will stay well-below normal for late April. Meanwhile, the front that passed through last night has stalled out just to our south in an east-to-west fashion and this will allow moisture to ride along it to the east coast from the middle of the country. As a result, showers will affect much of Pennsylvania and New Jersey later on Saturday, but we’ll likely be on the northern fringes of that moisture band here in the NYC metro region with just a few showers possible tomorrow night. Looking ahead, a warming trend will begin early next week with copious amounts of sunshine, but more showers could threaten by the middle of the week.
