Discussion
The low pressure area that has been spinning its wheels to our north and east in recent days has gradually weakened and is pulling away from the coast. This action will allow for high pressure to now build into the Mid-Atlantic region from the Midwest. The weekend will become warmer than recent days, but a thunderstorm cannot be ruled out for late Saturday or Saturday night as a weak disturbance passes by to our north, and there is a slight chance for a Sunday afternoon storm as well. Temperatures will climb into the 80’s from today through the weekend and there will be plenty of sunshine each day. A cold front will approach the Mid-Atlantic from the west late Tuesday and Wednesday and this will enhance our chances once again for showers and thunderstorms during the mid-week time frame.
