Discussion

The heat wave of late last week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday took a step down in temperatures and humidity over the weekend and yet another cold frontal passage will bring us even cooler weather for tonight and tomorrow. That front is setting off scattered showers and thunderstorms to start the new week and high temperatures later today will approach the mid-to-upper 80's. Sunshine will return for the next couple of days along with rather pleasant late June temperatures. However, it looks like it’ll get quite hot again by the end of the work week and into the weekend with mid-to-upper 90's possible on Friday and Saturday. Meanwhile, the tropical system (Debby) that we have been monitoring for the last several days over the Gulf of Mexico will continue to pound the Florida Gulf coastal region with tremendous heavy rainfall over the next couple of days.
