Discussion
Unsettled weather will continue into the weekend as a series of frontal systems and waves of low pressure continue our daily threat for showers and thunderstorms, but most of the time will be rain-free. Temperatures will trend slightly downward this weekend with highs expected primarily in the 80’s by Sunday afternoon. The normal high temperature for DC (Reagan Airport) is currently running at 88 degrees. Elsewhere, the tropics continue to be rather quiet, but a strong wave did move off of Africa earlier this week and it may cause up a stir late next week along the east coast so it'll be monitored. As far as the sun is concerned, a rather quiet period right now with a few small, "non-threatening" sunspots.
