2:10 PM | Line of powerful storms across south-central PA should reach the western suburbs of Philly after 3PM

Paul Dorian

Discussion

A large area of heavy showers and strong-to-severe thunderstorms is currently plowing to the east from central New York State to eastern West Virginia. Within this large area of rain, there is an especially impressive looking line of storms from south-central PA to north-central MD and this line is racing to the east. Damaging winds of 60+mph can occur from this particular line and isolated tornadoes are also a general threat for the entire I-95 corridor from late this afternoon through the evening. This line of storms that is currently across south-central PA will approach the western suburbs of the Philly metro region after 3PM and that threat for severe weather will continue for several more hours.
