Discussion
Today will be a warm and humid day with the possibility of a few showers and thunderstorms, but these kinds of summer-like days will become rarer and rarer as we progress through the fall. In fact, the overall weather pattern is about to take on a chilly look for much of the nation beginning later this week. A powerhouse cold front will drop out of Canada and sweep across the nation over the next few days reaching the east coast later this weekend. Snow will accumulate for the first time this season in many places from Montana to Minnesota over the next couple of days, and a wave of low pressure will likely develop along the cold front in the East this weekend as it charges towards the coast.
