Discussion
Low pressure over the western Great Lakes region will swing a frontal system towards us tonight and this will generate periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms overnight and early Friday. Some of the rain will come down hard at times late tonight and early tomorrow. High pressure will then build into the region by this weekend with the high likelihood for sunshine to return on both weekend days. Viewing conditions look quite favorable this weekend for the Orionid meteor shower which peaks in the pre-dawn hours early Sunday morning.
