Discussion
There will be more rain and wind from Sandy today, but nothing like what we experienced during the peak of the storm. Also, it is so cold now throughout the atmosphere that there is even the chance that some snowflakes mix in with the rain later today and early tonight; especially, well to the N and W of the District. Sandy, now a Tropical Storm, has moved into south-central Pennsylvania and it will continue to slowly weaken over the next several hours as it begins a gradually turn to the north. The latest central pressure reading of Sandy is 960 millibars with sustained winds at 65 mph. There is still a very wide area of precipitation associated with this storm that extends west to the western Great Lakes, north to northern New England and south to the Carolinas.
