Discussion
Quite an amazing 6-day stretch of winter weather around here with bitter cold conditions today through Thursday, accumulating snow on Friday, and then more bitter cold during the upcoming weekend. Temperatures will remain below freezing for virtually the entire Mid-Atlantic region right through the upcoming weekend. While dry today, there can be some flurry activity during the day tomorrow and maybe a few snow showers tomorrow night as a weak disturbance passes by to our north. A more significant storm is likely to impact the region with accumulating snow on Friday as it pulls out of the Tennessee Valley towards the Mid-Atlantic coastline. It looks cold enough for that late week storm to be in the form of snow all along the I-95 corridor from DC to Boston, but it is a little early to call the accumulation amounts although several inches are possible. Bitter cold air will follow this late week storm for the upcoming weekend.
