Discussion

Strong-to-severe thunderstorms this morning are quite numerous and there will be torrential rainfall with widespread flash flooding throughout the Philly metro region as yet another strong cool front approaches the region. Several inches of rain will fall in many locations in a short period of time - do not approach any roadways with high standing water. The rain will taper off for the afternoon hours, but an additional shower or thunderstorm is still possible. High pressure will follow the frontal system for the second half of the week with refreshing temperatures and comfortable humidity levels.
