Discussion
One clipper system pushed a batch of steady snow through the region earlier this morning, and there is still lots of upper level energy upstream that will generate more snow shower activity around here today that will mix with sleet and/or freezing rain at times. A coating to an inch or so of snow fell early today and small additional snow accumulations are possible later today and early tonight with the second system in this winter evetn "doubleheader".
Once all of these upper level features pass us by, the next couple of days look to be rather quiet and only moderately cold. Much milder weather moves into the region this weekend with 60 degrees an outside shot by the time Sunday afternoon rolls around. The milder weather will bring some rain with it and then we'll turn much colder again early next week.
